Feliz Cumpleanos! Dora cake & cookies!

Dora the Explorer cake & cookies for a special 3 year old Gracie! Her mommy is a bestie of mine, so I was thrilled to make this cake for little Grace.
Mommy did a great job with decorating the party room with other Dora decor, and I think this 2 tiered cake and sugar cookies were a big hit with the pint sized guests!

Orangutan Dessert Table

Wayy too much doing this Orangutan dessert table for Wes's 1st birthday party!
Wes is a buddy of my son Caleb's (as us parents went to school together).

The party was held at the gorgeous South Bonson centre in Pitt Meadows, and also doubled as a bit of a fundraiser for Orangutans in Indonesia, as Wes's parents had adopted one following their travels there.

So here is the orange & red table with custom cake, cookies, cupcakes and cake pops!

What a year!

Well its been almost a year since I last posted, shame on me! Its just one of those things that falls down the priority list when you are lucky to be busy with projects, and of course a toddler! But after running into a friend over Christmas who said she was tired of seeing the bowling sugar cookies on my blog, I figured it was time to get back at 'er!

So pardon me for doing a few quick catch up posts, but I hope you enjoy pics of what's been keeping me away!

Styled Vintage Shoot

I recently had the chance to work with Andrea Gurniak Photography to do a styled vintage shoot in my home, and a new profile shot for my website.


We played around with the set up on a credenza with lace curtains, as well as a white desk that I picked up recently at Aroka Vintage.

Steel Grey & White Ruffles New Years Day Desserts

It was my pleasure to do wedding desserts for J & N's romantic New Years Day affair at Brix Restaurant in Yaletown. This place is uber romantic, and the food is fantastic, so a natural choice for an intimate affair.

Here are a few shots I snapped prior to delivery, and a few shots at the venue (the good ones) by Sweet Heirloom Photography, of the dessert table

The cake is coconut cream, the cupcakes vanilla, and the cake pops double chocolate.
